Set in a high school in 1996, the game pits six classmates against a killer who can be one of four classes: a Giant, a Slasher, a Spider, or a Strangler.[1] Classmates roam the map completing a variety of objectives in order to escape, while the killer tries to stop them from doing so.[2][3] The player controlling the killer is able to despawn and respawn outside the classmates' line of sight, an ability called 'predator mode'.[2][3] This mode also allows them to place traps for unsuspecting classmates.[4]
